Aside from there being no conflict now, there's nothing else happening. The characters were only expanded upon in relation to their romantic aspects.
So as a result, Gyulwoo has no friends. He has no interests outside of Hojun, his sister, and work. His only problem outside of work was that he struggled to accept his sexual identity and that was solved. So the story just doesn't have a lot to work with.
They could spice it up with some nice date fluff though.
