I feel that way too. I thought it was so interesting to explore the struggles of someone who's intersex but in the end they got to choose and BAM struggles are gone and pointless because they won't experience it anymore.

Unfortunately, Ultimate_Fangirl doesn't seem to understand this. You make a very good point that I hadn't thought of. Even if this were about transgender people as another poster stated you and that poster would have also been correct about the wasted ending of this story.
