I agree. On the teasing part, like they keep on introducing these godly hunters but it's as if they only wanted to hype us but they'd turn out to be not that big of a hot stuff ;( Also, may I ask on what are your thoughts on how it ended? Because I am personally disappointed but still glad it's a happy ending but is tiny bit disappointed regardless.
Ngl it wasnt as satisfying as they intended to or atleast to what I think they were going for. Like, I get how the author trynna do smth along the way of 'fixing' everything to make a 'happy ending' right to the end of the series so resetting the messed up world and regressing is the best way to go (I guess? Not the best choice for that situation imo but wtv). By doing that the journey feels nonexistent anymore. Not to mention, the mc as a character was already too isolated from everyone else before the regression so being forgotten by the little to no relevant side characters on top of that? Welp, that development makes it even worse.
There's still the 5 and well, a 6 so should I cont? Yeah yeah fck it I'll try again, if it fails this never happened.

6. Lastly, overall I find SL an ok webtoon. This aint me hating on a popular series- THIS IS my constructive criticism coming from the bottom of my heart. Specially bcos I keep on seeing EVERYONE praising SL for all of its glory (or smth), missing the obvious bad things and even branding this as one of the best webtoon overall (story and plot wise). Which is imo somewhat of a disrespect to the actually well thoughtout korean series out there.
5 fcked up on me again. I'm done w 5, not anymore. 5 is out! 5 was just me sht talking on another nonexistent character development SL somewhat greatly suffered from. Nothing major ha haha...
Anyway, kidding aside. Feel free to argue w me (just dont bite cos I do too) I'm harmless- at least if youre as well. Tho, I shared my opinion openly so I should be ready for any response. IF yall want a really well-written, super immersive and thoughout korean novel (there's already a webtoon I heard) then the top of my list is always Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, done reading 500+ chap and I wanted more. Go check it out if you want and ofc support SL as well. As much as I rant bout this series I wont hate smth I read for hundreds of chapters, you know so yeah happy reading everyone lol
DISCLAIMER: This is an absolutely ruthless opinion/review of Solo Leveling and I want anyone reading this to take this into consideration before you may or may not come at me. Let's go for my positive opinion first then next is the negative. Ok so, 1. the artstyle is absolutely fantastic! One of the best webtoon in terms of arts out there- heck, I think it IS the best lol. 2. I'll take a bullet for Beru any day and I am not ashamed to say that about an ant. If a boat is sinking and only two ppl get to live between me, Jinwoo or Beru then I'll instantly push Jinwoo to d word all by him-boring-self. (lol jk)
Ok that's the positives actually (only the artsyle and my endless love for Beru lol) so warning, next up aint your rainbows and unicorns zone if you like SL. 3. As much as I like Jinwoo's face, ngl he's overall a one dimensional insert mc. Minus the enticing good looks, he's just... He's just- wait what is he again? Ah. An overpowered main character, noted. I cant w that one part where he want to hang out w a friend but well he dont have one (said by plot-kun) so he take *, they go to a * and after that they * in Japan. Like, whatttttt? How did you two ended up like that in a day holy shhhht 4. Kidding aside, moving on from dragging the mc down (still love your face, you dry king) to another problem of the series, the world building. It sucks. You got the whole world to play w. They keep on having these subtle teasing about the awesome hunters all over the world I was so excited for em, like, China's top hunter yada yada, America's somewhat unbeatable hunter guilds but what did we got? Japan's pathetic fate. Japan is SL's punching bag I tell yah! It was a mess- erm, literally! (pft, literally a mess, lol get it? Ok I'll stop) Novel readers will understand but I wont spoil any further than that. The take away of my rambling was the obvious wasted potential, world building wise. 5. Character development...
