Why is everyone so against romance lol

Trauma. People are just traumatized from some isekai mangas that they may read was just about fighting and shit until...The random romance love interest appeared and it only appeared due to fanservice. That's why people hate romance in stories like these because they are scared it might go stale or lose sight of interest. But that's my assumption why people are strongly against romance
