I dont think it's about deserving her....I feel it's more about the age...I dont expect him to go bursting out with emotions especially since he is dating someone younger....but it simply that he has to be more expressive.....but I guess his type is the type that needs a trigger before he moves and then he learns his lesson......
i think it's also because he wishes her not to think about her relationship with him too much and instead, enjo her highschool days with her friends...he's rather distant because of that in my opinion
Shiota-sensei does not deserve Amai-chan. She's too cute, plus...their relationship is pretty unbalanced..probably due to them being teacher and student :/
