from what i recall, his mum and dad had a huge age gap when they got toegther. she got pregnant so they had to get married which is why his dad hated him when he was born. his dad started abusing his mom and eventually she just left. his dad raised him until he was in elementary school and met another omega and then left him. he was raised by his grandma until she died and he began to live on his own

The dad just didn't care about him. He lived his childhood under constant pressure from his dad that didn't give two shits about him. Even though hyesung was an alpha, he didn't live up to the standards his dad had for him. He was slow at grasping things and didn't fit the definition of a "standard alpha." Kind of like how hyesung is upset at how byul isn't keeping up with his peers by not being about to talk clearly yet. The pattern is repeating itself.
I don't think it will go that route. These are side-stories, if the author did that after giving them a happy ending she'd ruin the whole thing. Plus dojin has been dealing with hyesung's bs so far without resorting to violence so I doubt it'll go that route.

hyesung is putting himself through so many mental cartwheels because of his childhood trauma. his character is very flawed as a result of that. he has made progress, but he's not consciously making an effort not to repeat the same patterns he was born into. I want to see him having the realization that in that spilt second where he yelled a byul, he was channeling his father. repeating the same behavior that his father did.
