err, I thought u already read the comment below, but to give you in detail, here

look it and u'll know :D

Lol that's not just similar; that's straight up copied and mirrored. Sure Kayono did just barely enough altering to make the art slightly different, but that's pretty disgusting. There's nothing more detrimental to art than people who steal it and claim it as their own.

Thanks for the link. They say imitation is the best form of flattery, but I have to say that this particular fight scene takes it just a bit too far. I won't go so far as to say "copied and altered slightly", as I have pitling art skills and have used the 'Calvin Klein' technique shown in the link for personal projects (pics for RPG characters and such) and the art in the fight sequence is clearly original - but the character positioning and within the frame blocking is nearly "verbatim" and that is what is really sad. Butterfly's artist clearly had the skill to do completely original work and yet went to the trouble to mimic so closely. *shakes head* Maybe it was intended as a tribute or something, I don't know, but in a professional (getting paid for it) publication, such similarities can't help but feel slimy regardless of the reason. Sad to think such cheating goes on even in this realm. And I do have to agree the art in Wild Rock IS better. I wish it wasn't yaoi as I don't envoy that genre.

Maybe she thought it she wouldn't get found out because it's completely different genres, but I read almost every genres and I just found out today when I read the one shot after reading Wild Rock over and over again. The yaoi and the original is completely without a doubt better. It's really terrible to copy someone else's work.
gawdddd,,,,
page 13,14 and 21 have a similar plot like wild rock, back when yuen was saved by emba from aligator, and page 21 was the same as when emba embracing yuen (the wound is the same to lols)
is Kayono the sis of mangaka from wild rock? they're similar XD
