I think, the red hair who disguised as an old man is haiyan's father(?). But he disguise as an old man so he can sneak to the palace and be the king's man so he can destroy him from the inside. He also delete all history bout him that's why there's that odd gap
but why did he do that? deleting his family line in books? for revenge against the previous king?
