Yh, I believe when the Demon King appeared it was more like a fragment.For me, Iruma being the reincarnation makes sense for me. They did prophesied that someone forgein will be the on who will rule the kingdom, not to mention he (the propheseid one) will cure demons from injury. Therefore Iruma, cuz his human blood is special in the demon world. So yh, reincarnation would make more sense, since if he became a demon or if Iruma is a demon, his blood wont have that kind of special effect to the demons.
