Do you mean the time loop? I'm pretty sure 1) it's bc of Gyun's wish in front of the cat, 2) the cat might've known Mokhwa liked Gyun too but that's just an assumption and the loop kept on going till they finally reunited and fulfilled each other's wish to spend christmas together :'D
