I'm assuming King Il was like tis only when Yu-hon's family was around. But a lot of the time when King Il and Hak were together, soowon was not there which is why he seemed so chill and kind

I wonder if he was against Yona having to marry Soowon but had no choice because the whole royalty bloodline thing. I feel like Hak did glimpse some of this when he saw King Il stop the sword with his bare hand
from my knowledge Yona did not have to marry soowon, she simply wanted to. It seems they were pretty lax about marriages, I mean Il married a woman of "unknown" origins and Yu-hon married a woman who lived on the outskirts of the capital (who was generally regarded as a commoner/poor)

I think with Il he didn't have as much to worry because he was second to the thrown. And maybe for Yuhon it was cause she had royal blood since she was the decendant of the dragon. But I you're probably right they do seem pretty lax
The huge contrast between the Il here and the one Yona knows is crazy!! So did Hak never see this side of him?
