i get what you're saying but it just doesn't sit right with me that the "happiest" ending for many of you would consist of aki leaving stripping behind when it's obvious the club he works at is legit and he actually enjoys exotic dancing. porn is NOT the same as stripping btw, bc LEGAL stripping doesn't allow for $/sex exchange. and even then being a porn star is a personal choice and i for one would not judge that person either.
Well, Aki has already stated his case, so let’s cut Taiga some slack. I think in he’ll try his best to understand where Aki is coming from. Re: Aki staying in the job, well, in the end it’s up to him. We’re still on chapter 2, so let’s just see what happens.
my reply to you was not really about taiga and more specifically about readers' comments like yours trying to imply that for aki to be happy with his lover he should leave stripping. him loving taiga does NOT mean he should sacrifice something he really enjoys doing, esp if he feels fulfilled and safe. that's a wacky way to think imo - shows that the conservative ones here are some readers not a 2D character. but yea let's see where this goes. I love how the mangaka characterized aki and would adore an ending to this story where he potentially has both - a romantic love and a fun after-work hobby where he hangs out with people that dearly love him as a friend/co-worker.

My comment does not pertain to my beliefs in general, because I like to keep it separate with what I read. It’s hard to explain for me since English is not my native language, but I don’t want to apply real-life beliefs/philosophy (for lack of a better word) to what I read.
I’ve seen comments about “Taiga is being close-minded”, and “as a feminist, they are offended”, and “sex work is legit work”. I do believe too that it’s a legit work. About Taiga being close-minded, well, he doesn’t know the whole story yet. The rest of the comments, well..we just need to keep in mind that this is fiction, and since this is in a Japanese setting, there could be differences in beliefs compared from Western readers. I only came here to read, not to judge or impose my beliefs.
I’m only stating the most plausible ending, based on reading BL manga in general. Though there are a lot of variance in BL manga themes, there are patterns on how the story unfolds or what the ending could be. Now, it’s possible that sensei might have a twist ending, and that is ok too. In short, I only like guessing what could be the possible ending, based on several factors. I’m not saying that’s what I believe personally nor I’m insisting that it is the only ending I will accept.
It’s pretty obvious that he’s a more conservative guy. He has seen his friend grow up alongside with him, so he only knew his meek and innocent sides. Of course it will be a shock to anyone. It’s like finding out that your quiet childhood friend of 20yrs was working as a porn star all along.
Most likely he had come to a realization after that talk with the manager, and maybe he had realized that he is just jealous after all.
I’m thinking that in the end Aki will voluntarily quit as a stripper once all debts have been paid because he loves Taiga that much and well..Taiga will leave a lot of hickeys and that’s no good for business (≧∀≦)
