As someone that studies in the art environment i actually feel the MC a lot... Dealing with the mixed feelings of wanting to be friends with someone and the sense of inferiority is pretty hard ;;
But his inferiority complex isn’t going to go away once he “falls in love”. He clearly has a lot of self esteem issues and truthfully he needs to get over them or he’ll never succeed in life if he’s just going to blame his shortcomings on others. I have little sympathy for people who run away from their problems. As for the romantic aspect that’s a whole other aspect of his personality that I find hard to like as he seems the sort to “fake” a personality to be liked desperately by others, but that’s just a personal hangup that doesn’t matter ultimately as it’s not my opinion that matters in his love life.
Yeah i totally get your point but i don't think it's as easy as you put it, i relate to the mc a lot and self esteem issues and insecurities are not just something that you can get over... They're feelings that keep haunting the person no matter how hard you try to deal with them because there will always be someone better than you. You can try to cope with it but you can't help but feel bad. The mc is actually dealing with his lack of talent by working more and harder than everybody else but sometime that just isn't enough, and when all the frustration piles up there's nothing to do but to run away to avoid being too hurt... That's why i hope there will be a good chara develpment for him because hhhh my heart can't take this (hopefully i explained decently, my english isn't great)
man i would never see the appeal in someone like the MC he acts like a petulant child all the time.
