For me, in cases like this, just shows that they love the person whatever gender they have not because they are Gay or Bi but because they love the person for who they are.
I kind of dig this for I too is in a relationship for almost 9 years now were 2 of us are the same gender.
They always say I am Gay or Bi and I also too test a lot of times If I really am one, but NO. I can't fall or have a crush on the same Gender except for my partner.
