Exactly this. It's inevitable that people have different opinions about the ending, but shaming others for liking is no way acceptable. Agreeing with the ending doesn't automatically means that we hyped the sexual violence and abuse.

Me myself more on the side of empathizing with the characters, mostly their pain. This world is so shitty to both of them and in that cruel, cruel world, somehow it's their existence to each other that makes it have meaning. No one is completely black and white, no one is completely free of fault. And they both regret it, regret that they put so much pain to each other. They are both broken somehow even without their ill-fated and twisted experience with each other, and especially now, they are trying to heal and chose to give each other chance. So why can't we give them a shot as well?

I believe they will suffer even if they part ways, with Dohyun going back to his dull, bleak and lonely life, while Sungho wouldn't even consider therapy and such and will definitely end himself in someway. Without proofs to put himself in jail, chances are he will just try to kill himself again.

And I think whatever the ending, we can't deny that this is so beautifully written.

sorry for not adding anything to the conversation but yeah i completely agree with you. its messed up, but in the end, it made sense to me. it seemed like something id do in their position. this twisted form of happiness isnt really right or wrong imo but i dont think its wrong to pursue it when your life is already shit and you see no actual hope for yourself. knowing that feeling of hopelessness to the point its objective to you that you will never be happy like in your fantasies, and seeing that you still have this option left over. it makes you.. feel a certain way. less damaged, less damned to be unhappy. a chance for you to not be in pain or in deafening unsatisfaction all the time and with a chance that doesnt seem so unrealistic.

Nicely put. If just forgiving one man gives u a life that u always wished for, idk its unreasonable to. And it's not like it's just with one of them, both of them r messed up. Idk why even stick to the past when u can see the sincerity of the other person to change, when moving on and giving another chance can make things so good for them. Well everybody deserves another chance at things at least when they really wanna do the right stuff. And I guess it's a man who has made a mistake already that is careful to every delicate thing that may take what he has away.

Not trying to maleke you feel bad about your thoughts. But THIS IS NOT A HAPPY ENDING. It's not about giving the characters a break. It's just sad that Donhyun, now has Stockholms syndrom, and PTSD and who knows what else becaise of what was done to them, it's sad that people are saying this is a happy ending. They both need serious mental health treatment. I feel bad for both of them. This relationship they want to start, will be one of suffering. Why do you think the author didn't write anymore? Because, if you go by how the story and characters are at the moment, they are both still very sick. I repeat it's not a happy ending. That makes me sad for both of them. I know it's not real life. But the writer made this story with, things that actually. Happen in real life. I cried for both characters, and hoped for some sort of happiness, but this ending, is not it. It's a start of tons of suffering for both.

Don't worry I'm okay, and actually, I really appreciate that you read my long ass opinion, yes I agree with you, the ending could be more explored or maybe a real life ending would be better, I guess I'm just insensitive about the issues of mental disorders portrayed in the story due to the lack of knowledge about the issues itself, therefore I apologize for my in unawareness and thank you for addressing it, I'm glad that I could learn something new from this

Lol I am shocked to see that what ppl can't accept nowadays is two ppl forgiving each other and moving on. But then again as u said everybody had their own opinion. I wouldn't have been impressed if it was a sad ending cause that's what everyone expects outta stories like this. But I am glad it ended this way.

Tbh in most yaoi stories victim ends up with abuser... So I'm not impressed by the ending in the slightest.

And before we start the whole: both of them hurt each other. Like their mistakes, their wrongdoings are on completely different level.

I'm not against forgiveness, but you can forgive someone all you want, but if they have traumatised you, no amount of forgiveness is going to fix it, even if you want it. Just because you want something doesnt mean its good for you. Or you should do it. It's the same for this relationship. It's doom from the beginning. There are just too many psychological issues between these two, that they will trigger each other, no matter how hard they try. I just think they deserve better.

Yeah, I just think this a psychological manga, that needs to be taken into consideration, when thinking about their ending. I hear what other people are saying, just doesn't really justify me liking this ending. It was a great read though.

You know I think OP is pretty clear with what they said. We don't ask you to like the ending either, so can you just go vent somewhere else about how disappointed you are about the ending? I see you came to lot of posts while disagreeing with people and pretty much guilttripping people who accepts this ending.

Didn't like the ending? Just take it or leave it, stop spamming the same thing over and over to other's posts to make yourself feel better.

When did I, exactly? I never reply to topics expressing people's disappointment of the ending while saying, "No it's a happy ending!!" and disregarding their feelings about it.

I just found it really sad that OP expressed their view in long, heartfelt post, and somehow people still jumping on this particular topic trying to tell us that it is wrong to accept the ending. Please respect the difference and stay in your own lanes, it's not that hard.

Well as she already said we r not asking u to like the ending. And about what u said earlier I think it's both ways just because u don't want something doesn't mean it isn't good for u. There were psychological issues but why can't they still move on? If they both wouldn't have occupied major of each others minds maybe they had a chance of going their own ways. They both liked each other and hated what they did to each other. If giving up some hate when the other guy tells u he wants to improve that he would never do it again, I don't think there is a problem. This I think is rather the best solution. Those two wounded each other so they be the one to heal. Just because many ppl can't forgive this or whatever doesn't mean they shouldn't. An ending should be an ideal for how things should work. Don't u think their lives r easy this way? Instead of erasing the other from their mind, instead of being in pain because of their past and alone with all these things weighing on their mind. They chose to do it together. It's that simple.

Okay guys, I hope you guys don't mind, but I sincerely enjoyed communicating with you guys and actually had fun discussing about the topic (especially since it involve a manhwa/manhua that i really like), I appreciated each and every responses, and also respected every opinions and thoughts that have been shared with me, hence I hope that we could all finally comes to a conclusion that the ending of this story has two sides of reactions which are, one who likes the ending and one who dislikes the ending, both sides of course have their own personal reasons and understandings, so it's okay if you like the ending and it's okay if you dislike the ending, it's good to have a strong opinions on things and you are free to express yourself however way that you want, but I think it is also important to understand and try to accept each other differences, so that's all from me and this is just me, but I do hope that at least our discussions have an happy ending, hehe, anyway hope to talk to you guys again in the future, tata~ (and sorry for the any grammar errors cause English is my second language)
