It seems so many people have forgotten Marie is a princess of a fallen kingdom and the crown prince wants to capture her to marry her. And now she's hiding out as a maid in the royale palace with the crown prince. She's desperate not to get caught. Her plan is to get one of the ladys with the crown prince so she can escape after. Of course she'll be used by Rachel. That was legit their whole agreement. Marie will be used on the side lines while Rachel takes credit for everything. It seems everyone has forgotten that Marie doesn't want any credit or anything to do with the crown prince. She isn't naive, She's desperate to survive and escape safely. Marie is worried that she'll get executed if her identity is revealed. She's seriously just trying to avoid death at all costs even if it means becoming a toy for Rachel.
