I totally agree with this he could love a straight guy but I also have a feeling he loved Tomoya who he knew would never look his way even if he spoke up kinda like how Tomoya was

even though senpai is an asshole, i think the reason he got so involved in tomoya’s business is because he saw himself in him and felt angry and heartbroken on his behalf. tomoya’s been suffering with unrequited feelings for years and senpai, who is gay, understands it the best how it is like to fall for a straight man. i don’t think the way he went about it was the best (forcefully kissing him etc) but i definitely can see his point of view
