    Yes because his "starting over" is simply throwing away all responsibility and everything he did away and moving on as if it never happened. This isn't a good starting over at all. Wish he died in a car crash

    In Japan, whatever parent has the kid can excise the other from their life. You see it all the time in manga and some dramas. If the mother has the kid, the father is sort of asked to stay away and in some cases the new husband takes over parenting duties. It's weird to me, but whatever.

    Maybe that's how he sees it. If she has the kids, then he has no part and bye.

    I still think Rina is an evil shit and the kids would have been better without her. Both her and Wataru are lousy human beings. She became even worse than him, except for one thing, caring about the kids.
