I think the problem is that the Manhua doesn't go into the level of detail the novel does so it may seem like that. In reality because of her past (being a science experiment of her grandfathers for her entire life) she has a very low EQ but she's also very skilled. While she is being helped in the shadows it's not actually nearly as much as one might think. The ML helped her back home, did a few things in the background that ultimately was just clearing out problems she could have dealt with herself, he is responsible for helping her out greatly in a few instances but Most of what's happened so far and what'll happen in this arc will be all her and whatever assistance she can utilize. I can get why you'd ask why she doesn't wait for him to help her out but thinking about it from her point of view why would she? In the novel she remarks that her new family was the first time she'd ever been truly cared for and while she's falling for the ML even he can see she's not socially mature enough for him to go farther in establishing a relationship. He's just making sure she has positive feelings for him for the time being. The thing is that she's not arrogant she's actually pretty neutral and has a lot of trouble understanding emotions which is why she goes to extremes when she's faced with emotions she's never had to deal with before. Unlike other MC this one isn't confident so much as she knows her own capabilities and makes her plans with that in mind. She's not planing to come out scott free but so long as she can keep the people she decided to keep safe then I doubt she'd complain.
Can't understand one thing. The author showed us, that blondie (devil king) is powerful. So why she do everything by herself? He had some business to handle, if i remember correctly. So she d just wait him.
