You could argue that she's only alive because thistle keeps her alive with magic. She wasn't doing too well when they went up the the surface where the magic concentration was a lot thinner. In fact, she was clutching her throat like she couldn't breath...
I agree with you though, this author is amazing when it comes to all the little details. I also love how the author can draw the different races such that you can tell what characters are what race and yet still have characters of the same race look different enough that you don't mix them up.
I CANT BELIEVE THEIR STUPID PLAN OF MAKING FARLYN EAT A GIANT PLATE OF CURRY AND FALL ASLEEP ACTUALLY FUXKING WORKED I'M DEADER THAN FARLYN IS RN
To be honest I was really impressed with the author's reasonable logic and knowledge of both real biology and fictional! Like that fuel pouch in the dragon that's shot out of the mouth and lit by a spark from a tongue click? That's like a legit imaginative theory. Some of the logic do be stretching a little too far in recent chapters though still much love because I've never found a fantasy cooking action manga this incredible.
I know this is being nitpicky but I think it's fair because they've done such a stellar job with the biological aspects so far. I think it's kind of weird that it was that easy to kill Farlyn. The reason we don't have animals as big as dinosaurs around anymore is partly because there's not as high a concentration of oxygen as there used to be millions of years ago. Underground, oxygen levels would be even lower, I don't think enough to support a body that large, especially if the only way she can breathe is through her human respiratory system. So like, I feel like she would have already died of suffocation/starvation depending on how long it had been since she's been turned
