If the author wants readers to ship the FL with Ruve, wants them to be happy together, then why must make Ruve such a horrible person, to treat FL terribly in the past life and justifies it with curses and a tragic past? To make FL and Ruve work, that whole past life him mistreating her should never have existed in the first place! I'm not a masochist that would just forgive and move on and be happy after all that shit!!!! (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸

It's "character development" to get AB*SED, R*PED, HIM KILLING YOUR FATHER, and SO MUCH MORE by your love interest? For somethng that's not even your fault???

At the same time this is him in the past. We don’t know exactly what happened for him to act terribly towards the FL, especially since Jieun seems like a bitch right now. The ML isn’t a terrible person (since this is still in the past) so it’s not exactly “character development”? At the same time though I understand where you’re coming from and I wish he wasn’t the ML, since she practically has PTSD from future him

Plus there’s a bunch of reasoning and stuff as to why he was like that in the first timeline (ugh it doesn’t excuse the shit he did but it serves as an explanation)

I could explain it if you want but what he did in the first timeline is so fucked I don’t think anyone would be able to forgive him

I'm not saying it's good character development, I'm just saying it's there.
