The mc got mad because he had initially thought that the seme wanted to speak to him when he was alone because he needed to talk to him about some "urgent and serious" private matter, so out of habit he "checked" that he was alone (lol, you're at home now, dummy), and then he realized what he was doing, and even more, that the seme was just calling him to make "sure" his brown haired rival hadn't stayed over for sex at the mc's place after their "date"... (something that, given how they agreed the seme would stop meddling in his life, was obviously totally out of line).

Moreover, the mc realized he made himself looklike a still lovesick puppy in front of the seme, who will run back to his "master" at the first cry from him, when he should have prioritized his date and stood by his resolution to start a new life and independence away from the seme, yaddda yadda, instead of agreeing so easily to ditch everything just to make himself available for a private talk.

Ohh i see.. I misinterpreted Ye Shen's actions and wondered why he got upset. I even felt that the seme and I are in the same boat, I was like 'what did I do??' Thanks dear! (▰˘◡˘▰)
