Don't fret it's not a true harem. He does end up with some key female colleagues and disciples but he has no romantic interest in any of them. He also collabs with mayor old Taoist men and Dragon men. It's not as bad as some I've read.

It picks up again a bit later. The whole US is evil and we (China) is great arcs always fall flat and are boring. I wonder if they are required to insert propaganda and just don't have the full heart to put effort to make it good. Never seems to flow well either. It goes back to m ore fantasy martial arts again but I'd only give it average rating or a bit better. Agreed after it took the nose dive a few times it did get better. The Trump "Ellen" gave me a rough time since I couldn't stop laughing at the hidden joke there. As there is no tag for Harem it's definitely only going to give vibes of a feel but never cross that line since he's been so determined to get back to the higher realm to exact his revenge on the wife that had murdered him.
