I don’t think it was a rejection. Huan Wen wanted to say two things - one, that he’s gay, two, that he likes Yuan. But as you already know, he couldn’t say the second one so pretended that the second thing he wanted to say is that the dish was salty. He couldn’t confess so I think Yuan still doesn’t know that Huan likes him.
Oh Gods! Was that a regection?! Please tell me that wasn't Yuan regecting Huan Wen! Please tell me that was just Yuan being dense again!
