can you please explain what happened at the end?? I'm a little confused, I thought Caleb wouldn't shot himself and be dead when he was found? how was he alive without turning into a zombie for so long?
It was an illusion. Caleb turned into a zombie but in the young master’s eyes he still saw him as he was, and shoot him because he knew that what he was seeing wasn’t true and that Caleb failed to kill himself. Because of this and to end with his suffering, he shot Caleb himself (yo I started crying again while writing this)

but for what? I've finished it all, I've finally seen the end, yet again all i can feel is pain. Author really hit me where i simp, the ending Looked like the end for everyone yet there was only the end for one. the sacrifice has me speaking all metaphorical, what the hell.
