While I agree that Ginger is dumb as hell, I also think that she unintentionally did the right thing by getting Izana's attention before Lerajay because if she had watched from the sideline she wouldn't only be watching Lerajay's downfall but also Izana's downfall. That being said though, the author could have made this much more enjoyable to read if they made Ginger smarter. Idk how many times i've facepalmed at Ginger's stupid antics.
I agree but even if she did that Hamel would have asked her for help anyway ending in her trying to stop Lerajay and Izana’s downfall
I completely agree, with each chapter im ready to lose it with how incompetent Ginger is. It seems her lack of awareness and causing problems is what the author is using to drive the plot forward.. its not just her tho its all of the characters they all seem so shallow :///
I mean while I agree that Ginger isn't like the smartest tool in the shed, she isn't the dumbest one either. She can be selfish and naive, but I think that's normal for a teen that's still developing and maturing, not to mention in love. Either way, in the end, we know that Ginger has good intentions and that she's generally a good person. She never does anything that significantly crosses a moral boundary, like Lerajie does when she gets with guys who have a fiancee.
Ginger also at least knows when to cut a toxic person out and take care of herself at the very least. Her personality is just realistic and refreshing I guess.
Also about you saying that Ginger should have just sat back and watched, she herself said that she doesn't think Lerajie is someone who deserves to die. So even if she had read it, I think she would have done the same.

I stopped reading it for the sole reason that Ginger is absolutely stupid. Like she has the book and by the time the ball came around she totally could have actually finished reading the book to see how everything ends but did she do that... NO! so she does some stupid stuff and attracts Izana's attention When she could have just sat back and enjoyed Larajay's downfall. she could easliy avoid her death since she no longer wanted to compete for him and knew what would have happened to her if she did. BUT, because she was too preocupied with winning the battle, she completley forgot about the war thereby not reading the book and catching ppls attention. I know this is obv gonna have some happily ever after but the author could have made Ginger so much smarter. It could have been like similar to Miss Not-So Sidekick where she watches everything play out from the sidelines but different so because she would be watching the enevitable downfall of Larajay instead of her rise. idk thats just my opinion on how this could have gone and why im not reading it. if you have anything to convince me otherwise, feel free, id love to hear other ppls thoughts on it.
