If it was shoujo Hori would be dense and have a harem of guys all fawning over her while she does nothing about it even though its ruining her relationship with her boyfriend. Then the author would try and place these homewreckers in a positive light even if one of them was Miyamura's friend and thus betraying him by trying to get with his girl.
Yeah, I read too many shoujo. So close to despising them now. Male friendships in shoujo are fragile and meaningless and everyone and their dad wants in the heroine's panties. Oh and all other girls are bitches. That too.

I can kind of understand why it;s shounen just because the manga is from shounen-type "organization" (?). But I think it's perfectly shoujo.
