Nah, everyone sees that he’s a piece of shit. It’s obvious. That’s why people aren’t talking about it. It’s pretty clear it wasn’t roofied, that’s why the author intentionally showed him talking to the bartender, having him comment on it being strong, and having Yanagi imply he didn’t mean for him to drink it all at once. Nobody thinks he’s justified. It’s a separate issue that Naruse had multiple opportunities to say he has a partner, regardless of gender, and refused to mention it. Of course no one should have to say they have a partner to make someone fuck off but he actually goes as far as denying it. He’s being wilful still and it’s annoying.
