I think it’s because he is a very important person and if others know about him having a son then they could use the son to Threaten him. I think that is why the mother is afraid. She wants her son to live a normal life.

You'd think she'd get help from her rich, powerful and influential baby daddy.... Not make her kid sad by keeping him isolated from the truth.
Well, if I was me then I would rather hide my son away and keep him away from the kind of world that the father has to deal with.
