it's also his second way in showing that he won't be going along with his dad. he showed it first when athanasia was accused of black magic by claude during his birthday. he also promised athy that he'd do anything to help her (before lucas interrupted). making it clear with jeanette that any delusions she may have will not be fulfilled is so meaningful cause in the og novel ijekiel did nothing to stop the events from occuring. now the boy's fighting back and im so excited to see his character development even moreeee

Hmm so what Ezekiel last chaps is not unnecessary. Yeah it's a bit hurtful to say those to a child but he wants to be honest. Better to clear up the situation. And tbh i dont think Jeanette likes Ezekiel romantically. She just like the idea of Ezekiel's being her prince. She's always thinking it's some sort of fairytale. I dont hate Jeannette but at the same time I pity Ezekiel too!
