I don’t what excuses are made in the end they’ll love each like every other garbage BL. I’ve been reading this genre for over 10 years and I literally stay because of the occasional gem and the fact it’s one of the few sources of visibly queer content, but I truly am starting to hate BL at this point and is love of all things rape. I can go the front page of mangago right now and over 75% of the top BL would include some sort of abuse. If wouldn’t even have to make a bet it would just be a fact.

Adore the first the authors work is truly amazing. Gave up on the second suggestion. I don’t like omegaverse, but I’ll give anything the benefit the doubt because it’s not fair to judge a book by its cover. Read a few chapters and then it tuned into the same old omega and alpha dynamic, the omega’s entire personality to even the way he was drawn changed to reflect his submissive gender when it’s revealed he’s an omega when prior he was forceful, independent, and capable. Typical dubious consent/rape, damsel in distress, to many cliche tropes to count. Then not only does he almost exclusively bottoms (I think he tops twice) his entire demeanor changes as the plot progresses. It wasn’t bad, but it did nothing to change my opinion of omegaverse.But really thank you for the suggestions really.

BL is loved by many and it’s an amazing escape, even if the stories contain toxic elements (which many do). The top yaoi BL on the front page are highly loved by many because it’s the escape they are looking for and definitely not garbage since I can understand how hard these cartoonists/authors work for to then have their work be stolen. I also don’t like many of them but hey....it makes people come back.
But since you’re so bothered and make lots of comments on this, I really recommend LGBTQ novels which are also showcase visible queer content. Goodreads has lots of selections that showcase healthy and realistic LGBTQ stories. The people who review them really go in depth and will tell you if there is violence or abuse. There are also queer comics by European and American people, many of them also show healthy/realistic relationships.
Slice of Life BL tags also showcase healthier relationships.

My comment was more so I reply to why those are in the top as well. I agree that many do have romanticized rape, hence why I think these websites shouldn’t be around. If you want to read to read fantasy rape, buy it. People who buy it probably pay their bills and have a sense of reality.
