What happened was Shell fake killed Eric: this was Erics plan so a war didnt occur between vampires and humans.... he realized if they had an enemy who was neither they would be satisfied.- Eric now lives in the south and shell visits him when possible (Shell's friend reign notes he needs more of the special ingredient- referencing erics blood; so eric has to be alive to provide that) SOOO its a happy ending really(:
