Y'all making me feel bad for Jeanette

I can't believe some of you want Jeanette to die. She has ZERO evil intent, as in absolutely no murderous intentions or want to overthrow our girl Athy. She's a literal CHILD who was raised as a tool and just wants to be loved. I find her annoying because she's an idiot but damn I'm not saying get rid of her for it.

She's a fictional character honestly there's nothing wrong with people wanting her to die. Not that i want her to die of course, she should get a decent ending as well.

But see, this is where basic human empathy comes in. Especially as a fictional character, her whole life has been told to us, the readers, and us only. So asking her to die, meaning end her life permanently, after knowing about her birth, her life, and even her identity as a chimera which she herself doesn't even know, is a little harsh don't you think?

That's a good point but i still disagree. Her dying or people wanting her to die will have no consequences in real life, if people wanted a real person to die though, that would surely be different.

It might have no consequence in real life, but would it be justified in the story? I guess what I'm trying to say is asking for her death reasonable for her actions? She's introduced as kind, empathetic or sympathetic, lonely, and very very naive. If Jeanette were a real person, or if any character were a real person, I feel that the readers should keep in mind that if they wouldn't want it in real life, it's wrong to ask it of fictional characters simply because they have no worth.

I mean no it’s a fictional story jennatte has her issues and I can see how her death would be beneficial to the story you have to spectate reality from fiction. I have oc’s I kill off who I have written every aspect to thier lives but they just simply don’t serve a purpose to the plot and would help the story move along better dead

What would Jeanette's death do? It might lessen the threat to Claude and Athy, but Athy has been kind and forgiving to her. At times she almost thought of her as a sister. Also, don't forget that the readers have almost no say in what happens. So asking her to die despite not being able to change anything? Does a fictional character who is both a child and an idiot, deserve so much hate that it's spurred people to want her dead?

It’s a fictional character hated or not it doesn’t matter people find her obnoxious you can’t change that and it would spice up the story since Claude obviously sees something in her and avenge her. If it’s him who killed her the opponents could use it to their advantage and spark a rebellion and you seem to be forgetting she is a valuable chess piece with her gone the antagonists would have to go forward with a more direct or violent plan. Perhaps Jeannette’s father and old white hair guy really did care for her so assasination attempts on Claude and Athy. Plus yes it could help Claude’s relationship With Athy or it could ruin it. Maybe Athy was part of the reason she died causing mental distress to herself and probably distancing herself from others until she has some character development. Or Claude killed Jeannette and it upsets Athy and Claude finally understands killing is wrong and He has some character development

Killing off characters tends to benifit the story unless the character has a lot of wasted potential or it seems unnatural but Claude killing others has already been established and she doesn’t have a lot of lose ends

Her death does change quite a bit. Anastacius (well, the wizard inside Anastacius) wouldn't be able to hurt Claude. And he's the villain of the story so that would help in defeating him.
