Most of the time in these situations it's because they cant take it out on the person who sired them so they take it out on the kid for being born
What about the king then? He has more power than the queen so why didn't he treat the queen badly? Maybe if the servant see the king doesn't care or hate the queen then they will also show their hostility..i've seen some manhwa where that happened & in some cases the queen is innocent but still get treated badly..just asking coz damn i hate people who blame an innocent kid moreover the kid is kind & sweet. If the kid turn out to be bad then i get why people hate them
Yeah, that's pretty common. Taking it out on an adult, especially one that is of higher status is very difficult (and it's not like you can hurt the queen of all people, unless she is powerless), but abusing a child and scaring them into not protesting this behaviour is much easier, the younger the kid is.
Well if u start treating the queen badly you create a power imbalance. Your country starts splitting into factions and if ppl start joining the queens faction then that means their loyalty does not lie with the king making them a threat. If it really escalates like the king kills someone for not being loyal to him only then that could make tensions rise and even a coup or civil war could start.
She is gettting all the hate and retribution. For the queen being a unfaithful and the King getting cucked. It's quite sickening. That NONE of the anger or responsibility for the situation is directed at the person it should be - THE QUEEN CONSORT. The King still keeps her as his wife with the same perks and privileges.
Only her daughter gets treated worse than an animal and receives all the backlash by being physically and emotionally abused.

I don't get royalty. Why is it okay to hate on illegitimate children when it's not even their fault while the one that does the adultry & give birth to them are free from any sort of hostility??? Do they not have brain? Even if they hate the child, are they not supposed to hate the mother/father more coz last time i checked baby didn't pop out of no where
