forgiving the bully is bullshit

Being vengeful or not tolerating the « unfair «  is literally hardwired in our dna
So you’re basically right - but it’s a dangerous instinct : « revenge « suppresses quite a few surviving programs that are also hardwire
It has a meaning to protect the specie above the individual
It’s a very profound urge

the maximum violence we can ressort to, is coming out of our education, morality sets limits , « revenge » can offset these limits too

So what you say is very true, but also dangerous revenge = instinct that reduce morality, survival aptitude (at any cost ?) and control
And if these type of response becomes habits add to that : brain wise habits = addiction

also revenge can bring new revenge in an endless circle

There might be reasons why the concept of forgiveness is not entirely bad ?

at least thinking différent type of answers , and etting better at reconciliation are a very important social need

or he could have just go straight to the main antagonist. No need to kill lots of the underlings. They will cover in fear if Galhwa died horrendously.

Bullies in most cases are unrepentant. They only grow into more evil doers like head of mafia, psychotic killer, rapist, corrupt politicians, etc. Only a few would actually choose to repent and have a new life.

I mean would you still take revenge if it cost the life of those precious people around you ?
In the end we will be running in devil circle
