Is it just me who's not.. actually annoyed at the mc? I mean, I do understand their arguments but I also think the mc had valid reasons as to why she did it. I mean, imagine being ignored by your husband for 1 (or was it 2?) whole year, just for him to start caring about you by the time the heroine arrives. I would also say that she focuses too much on the storyline when it could be very well subjected to changes depending on the action she takes, but could you really blame her when she knows that her death is certain if she does something wrong? And take note, the emperor himself made a verbal agreement (during their dance on their wedding day nonetheless!) with her not to expect a loving husband or she could forget being the empress consort. I believe she had every right to run out on him just for the sole reason on turning back on his own self made conditions. He made those conditions himself and she accepted, she was the only one who fulfilled their verbal contract. Like.. what.. the emperor fell in love with her and you guys expected her to follow immediately? You guys think she will fall in love with a guy she never saw after the wedding until that one chapter where he was kinda guilt tripped into seeing her? That guy? I don't know about you guys, but if I was in her shoes, damn right I will straight up ignore this man's advancements as much as possible when the prospect of getting killed is definitely real. So I think it's kinda unfair to Serena that she's being called annoying when in reality, I think this is one of the more realistic reactions to these kinds of situations. Imagine religiously sticking to your 'foolproof' plan, only for it to fail at the most crucial time. Yikes. I'd probably bolt out of the castle asap and as far as possible.
I do understand why she is so thrown off.....like damn this Corona through me off my whole life plan.....I feel like its kind of like that for her....his affection is so unexpected....so she's not really sure how to adjust to the change....
