Same page here,It was because of that first rejection of something that they so important That started that 10 year span of self abuse In allowing others hurt him.But at least They reconcile their past For way better relationship in the run.
I always have a soft spot for characters who over-blame themselves. Characters like that are genuinely good people who made wrong decisions, and because they are naturally sensitive, they'd know how the person they hurt would feel and they would punish themselves way worse than what they've done. It's always good angst material. P.s. the art gave me a whole other experience, it's fucking beautiful.
