    I think they added the needed amount of sugar only for the mc, because they got gifts & seeing how annie's been living

    They only put a normal amount of sugar in her dishes (while the others' were rationed) because she gifted them all the perfumed oils. So more or less, the maids are showing favoritism to her because of her gifts.
