People who are blaming/mad at the twins obviously never went through or even cared much for others' emotional/physical/psychological childhood trauma & abuse and it shows.

It doesn't matter if they've gotten to a certain age in their past lives. They get to be upset after what they've heard given what they've been through. What the emperor said validates all their doubts and fears, and effectively shattered what little trust and hope they had put in the royal family.

its not about them being upset. Theres nothing about them that screams isekai. The story works better without the need to be isekai as clickbait

Ehh, i found it funny when you said "nothing about them that screams isekai", does isekai have standard now? What's your standard then? (●'◡'●)ノ

Yeah it Does! They were reborn into a world of magic, they themselves have magic even if they don't realize it. For one they have telepathy and some weird kind of magic that make them invisible. So it is very isakei.

i dont think thats how isekai works for me. You dont need to be from another world to be
surprised that you have magic. In fact it works better if the twins are just normal kids reacting to the world around them and who they are. the reason they are more intelligent than usual can be cos they have royal blood instead of isekai. Whatever it is, I really do not see them as 18 year olds, now 23 with combined mental age. Heck, Sanghee from They Say I was a Kings Daughter or Athy from Suddenly Became a Princess One Day are better examples of reborn adults in unfair world than these two.

Their motivations of wanting to belong would make more sense if they arent isekaied. 2 children seeking love from a family that abandoned them, getting hurt because of being scorned as illegitimate. But if they are from another world... why would they care?

They already know they had a family back in the past. What incentive is there to care enough to feel hurt about being illegitimate or actually be attached to the royal family. If they were actually from another world, they'd be hatching a plan to get out since the very beginning.

It just feels like they just want readers to feel sad and angsty, which will only work if they are just children that just need care because they are actually 5 and have no skills to be independent. Even in the other two manhwas ive mentioned, both of their goals was to wait a few years and run the fuck away, not giving a shit about what society or family thought of them. also a whole lot of cursing inside. But in this manhwa, from the very start, they seem very hurt to be not part of the royal family and being left for 5 years and care that they are illegitimate and have less worth for having commoners blood and being injured. As a realistic teen or adult, why would they care. Like sure be upset but realistically being upset would make you emotionally detached from the whole illegitimacy thing and actually find ways to go separate ways. Not waterworks even when a bunch of kids bullies them. Thats all Im saying
