A softie. I have read the whole Novel and can conclude that LXC is a softie. And yes, a bit biased towards MY

I have read the whole novel too... TWICE! and I still don't get it! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ Meng Yao could have literally cut Xi Chen's throat if he had to do so just to preserve his power... Xi chen KNOWS THAT! but he is still sad and melancholic. IT BLOWS MY MIND! Σ( ￣□￣||)

I think because of MY's silver tongue. Remember that he's so good at twisting other's words and lying. LXC cares for him and NMJ as his own brothers and to find out that MY, his sworn brother killed NMJ and has been lying to him all this time, he became depressed and doubtful.

I think one will be in heart broken if one finds out the people he trusted the most has been lying to him. He has been questioning himself if his last words were true or not, the part where he said he will never hurt him but then capable of hurting NMJ. Remember he already started to hurt NMJ even b4 saying about his prostitute mom (which was his sore spot), so how can LXC believe him truly that he won't really hurt him?

I also want add, i assume he didn't do anything to LXC yet becuase he's not yet in the way, MY wanted to prove so much to his father and since NMJ has been demanding for XY's death and the Jin sect didn't because of his potential for demonic cultivation (this doing may cause some scandal and if NMJ keep doing this, their plans may get exposed). And to prove himself, he needs to remove the threat. LXC is not yet a threat and so he won't do anything yet (and this may also be added to LXC doubts)

I think exactly the same! MY will kill LXC if he had to! and LXC knows that at the end so why the hell he is still "OMG I'm so sad, poor MY" Like MY GOD BROH JUST WAKE UP! XD

i don't blame you. I thought LXC, NMJ and JGY were a thing before I learned that MXTX only has like one or two BL relationships per novel. Both LXC and JGY care a lot for each other, and clearly like to gossip in their alone time.
But it's still fine as fanon. I see Xiyao like a different sort of Wangxian, both as parallels of Madam Lan/Qingheng-Jun

Well, I don't really like the couple because I totally hate MY, but for LXC to be in love is the only explanation I can see to that behavior about MY even after he has already showed to him his true face.

JGY is a loyal husband, due to his parentage he would never cheat on Qin Su. So even if both were in love with each other, it's just a no-no relationship for JGY. Plus LXC is very righteous. The most would be platonic love from them, which is my headcanon

Hmmmm... I agree with this. But all in all I still feel he was biased towards MY and obviously bc of that silver tongue you mentioned. He always believed something he has seen and MY kept everything hidden which others and especially NMJ caught very quickly and died. I remember LXC saying to LWJ his trust in MY is similar to LWJ's in WWX. So yeah

Hi sorry for jumping in on your convo here.. But i vaguely remember someone asking mxtx if LXC was gay and the author said no.. So idt Xichen being inlove with Mengyao was the reason why he's so blinded by his bs..

I believe Xichen has strong little brother complex.. Aside from his own clan, the most important person to him is Wangji.. Why he's always fussing and asking Wangji if he needed his help..but since his bro is capable enough, he turned to that "other little bro" that keeps asking for help.. I truly think Mengyao exploited Xichen's complex to his advantage, asking him to teach him that "calming" song and playing dumb why NMJ was mad af at him.. Hiding behind his "er-ge"

I think he's in denial cuz they were close. Maybe deepest in his heart, he wants to believe him but since he lied all this time and broke his trust.... like in a sense, he felt betrayed.

Also the fact that he has a magical tongue (lol hahaha, remember how WWX kept on warning them to shut MY up cuz he really has that ability to fuck people's mind over), and his last words to LXC made him feel conflicted. Like "is he really going to kill me or really he was not going to?"

Maybe he also felt guilty because he was the one ended his life (then if only MY didn't say those words, I think LXC will actually move on... who knows)

I think it's normal to feel sad about it especially since he has been treating MY like family.

Who knows hahaha, they should have taken WWX's advice to shut MY up cuz I think MY's last words to LXC is what really fucked him over. Cuz who knows what's really running in MY's mind. If NHS didn't say any warning against MY, will he actually kill him? And does his last words were actually genuine like LXC is just really special and won't actually hurt him? Or did he said that so he could leave a scar to LXC's mind like some sort of revenge or he was guilt tripping him.

Yes, I have read that too about the author. They even said something about finding unrealistic that there is more than 1 BL couple in a story, and I think that is the only reason why LXC is not gay. Someone mentioned before something about that love to be platonic.. and I kind of agree.

LXC is way too smart to be THAT blind. It amazes me everytime how sure he is about MY and never even doubted, even when MY had some serious situations when anyone will think "This one is up to no good". Maybe that is the reason why NMJ is for me an interesting character. He was not cautious enough to survive (unfortunately), but at least he was cautious enough to doubt MY intentions.

If you ask me I'll choose the second one. MY was going to kill everyone and anyone who stood in his way. I think when we have already reached that point of the story he has proved it enough, so I really don't know how can LXC still doubts about it. Maybe is just me that I'm a Taurus and once you betray me you are doomed forever ╮(￣▽￣)╭
