watch out for it, it's unfortunately common for yaoi and it's sad :((( always be safe and read what you're comfortable with!!
yeah :'( I actually read a lot of yaoi where the uke got raped and then somehow they became a couple afterwards, and acted like the rape did not occur?! I mean, I sometimes still read those type of yaoi but I just can't come to like them :(
i really tried my best to get into it but the whole rape + blackmail just really doesn't sit well with me. i continued up to the end to see if they somehow resolved it properly but i was disappointed, it just literally went with a confession and justified it as wanting someone to be theirs. i know he got bullied, that is wrong as well but still doesn't justify the rape and the blackmail. plus, the feelings of that guy just came out of nowhere for me, didn't even try to be more assertive on the wrongs that the other did to him. the art was pretty tho, there was potential but this just doesn't sit well with me :(
