Perhaps it’s just me but for stories like this, I love gore. Anyways, in this last moment, “sire” makes me think that (like other stories usually would have it) Shin jumped in to save his royal highness from harm. But then there’s a part of me that says “As much as Shin would totally want to jump in to save Wolfgang...deep down, he’s probably hoping, praying that someone else would take the fall” because after his royal highness’ direct but also indirect confession, there is no way Shin would risk that kind of future with Wolfgang. Because he’s stubborn. Too stubborn that he’s determined to dirty his hands for HIS King but also stubborn enough to wish to live. Wolfgang, as proven many times, would never abandon Shin. Excluding that impulsive guard on that snake bite, he promised Shin he’d never do anything that would cause him to “leave” Shin in any way. So...Duke Hammy would surely abandon himself and his “family” for Shin, for that kind of love/loyalty he witnessed but will never experience himself. So maybe as one last hurrah for his soft spot for Shin, he’s jump in to say his royal highness.....ORRRRRR freaking wolfgang’s pure and bright gold eyes and hair makes his blood also some sort of powerful defense. ORRRRR Shin did jump in and Wolfgang gave his blessing to Shin by force. Or that fucking dragon finally awakens. Ugh let him sprout wings then or something!
Sigh. Whatever. September 1st is approaching fast. We shall see.
