Lol, yeah. But then again this uke seems like he was really just a normal, sane guy before he got imprisoned, while the ukes in KS and Warehouse weren't exactly "sane" and seemed off to begin with (IIRC). That's why, this uke's suffering feels a lot more relatable, and thus a lot more painful to watch, than Bum's and Dojin's.

Honestly, this wasn't so mind-breaking and heart-clenching like the comments are trying to imply. I found Killing Stalking and Warehouse wayyyyyyyyyyy darker than this. I actually enjoyed reading this because of it's good and logical characters like how the MC really fights back or repels the emperor every time and he never gives in.
Don't get me wrong, I don't approve of the doings of the late emperor, but the present one I kind of like. The present emperor had done many things so far different from what the late emperor did. Of course, I acknowledge it very well that the present emperor is still a pretty fucked up guy, but at the very least he is showing signs of good character development and change compared to the late emperor.
And no, I'm not invalidating the MC's actions. He has all the fucking rights in the world to end his own life rather than living in such hellish environment.
The thing about this that excites me a lot is that I can't wait for the present emperor to completely change into a good guy for the MC.
You can't imagine how "bitchslaps" make me run all around the house ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ .
An uke who knows very well of his worth is the best uke.
