You don’t have to force yourself! The romance is very subtle and the story mainly centers on character development so it isn’t for everybody :) tbh I dropped it a while back and reread it recently to pick it up, so I understand why you’re having trouble. If you usually read very romance heavy BL, this probably won’t be very interesting for you. It’s more of a slow burn romance
But yea like the other comment said if you really can’t fall in love with it it’s ok to drop it. I I’ve character development so maybe that’s why I’m so attached to it some BLs focus more on the sweet romance, angsty feelings and all that but this focuses on how they grow as people and as a couple too.
I’ve up to date with the story updates, and the author wrote a note that the main story is ending soon...
I suggest dropping it and coming back to it maybe when it’s completed. It’s a bit lukewarm and the plot is very steady paced, so a second read definitely gets more details and emotions captured.
Yea I understand that feeling have felt that before too which is usually then why I wait for more chapters to be released and I stop for awhile before going back to read it one shot so I don’t have to constantly be kept on the fence. But yea this donghua (since it’s Chinese) has been going on for quite long and the real relationship development really only happened like much later on?? Dont worry I felt that way at first too

I'm already at chapter 45 and I really can't connect with the story :/ What's wrong with me The art style is GORGEOUS and the story and characters are great but why do I just feel flat while reading the whole thing?!!?!?!?!?
