What she did sucks but... isn't that a kind of common practice at showbiz? maybe is scandalous and people (not us as readers, but the audience "inside" the manga) could hate it but she mentioned they were even trending so this may be a case of "any publicity is good publicity whether its positive or negative". That's why some people say you need to grow a thick skin if you want to work in that industry lmao (￣∇￣")
