Let's be even more honest. She is very realistic because most humans beings are this way. We are nice when we get something in return, when we can relate to someone or a cute thing appeal to or protective nature. The rest of the time? We are self-centered creatures and it is very hard to make us compassionate.
how could some people say she's cold hearted? of course you'd loose faith in most things after witnessing your own death. obviously you'd want to prevent that from ever happening again at least she's honest.
