I get ya. As much as I love the main ship, this ship is not so bad either (=・ω・=)
I think it's because Kijima met someone who's going through the same as he is so he and Asahi are sort of kindred spirits. But Asahi seems to ship hard for Kijima and Yamada so for me personally the Kijima x Asahi ship has been sunk.
Don't worry guys the new girl is probably going to end up with the otaku guy.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
