This is such a good manhwa

This manhwa needs more recognition!!!! It isn't plain fluff or angst, it's a well-scripted story which is realistic, inspiring and shows progress. I won't reveal spoilers for the new readers but this story will move you to tears of sadness and happiness at the same time. Also, it is not a reincarnation story, which makes it even better since the female lead does not have any cheat powers to overpower others!!

And the best part of it?? Its Character Development!!! Ebony's growth as an unjustly accused convict to a strong, independent women fighting to prove her innocence and gain respect from others through her own efforts...not the badass, domineering type, but someone who is smart, sophisticated and is not tomboyish ulike other strong female leads(which is not bad, but it's kinda overused so Ebony is like a breath of fresh air). Her talents have been suppressed under the strict authority of patriarchy of her country, and only the people from the Archduke's house acknowledged her, even the suspicious Juro, which allowed her potential to reach beyond their expectations!! I love her!!

And the second best part? An equally outstanding Male Lead!! He is not like those rude, arrogant male leads who later changes for good under the heroine's influence... NO!! Dante is cheerful, friendly but also wise and open-minded enough to encourage women empowerment and knows to decide what is right from wrong! He never held any prejudice towards Ebony as a released criminal, but instead as a person who wasn't able to speak up for herself during the court trial due to the pre-existing prejudice men have towards women. He's so supportive of Ebony, and he feels so proud of her every achievement without any unnecessary jealousy getting in between them. They both share mutual respect for each other, which is so admirable.

And lastly, the supporting characters!! They are not just there in the story to act as cannon fodder for our main characters. They have personality and are logical of why they are so accepting of Ebony and not just plain friendly to any random stranger. They welcomed her like a family, not as employees of the Schneider household. And it doesn't just end here! They also come from varying backgrounds and probably had different jobs, which arouse the readers' curiosity to know more about them.
Also, look at Juro, Dante's secretary. As a native of Kalcass, even he had his doubts regarding Ebony's innocence like other natives except for Dante, but his outlook is not that narrow that he would disregard Ebony's talents and potentials. He even praised her, even if it's subtle. Throughout the progressing chapters, you could see he starts doubting his own doubts, and he genuinely starts to believe that Ebony is not a murderer, which was the reason why he was hesitant and scared of her in the beginning. A potential second male lead? Too bad, Dante wins this match!

Anyways, it seems I rambled on too much, but I was never so attatched to a manhwa like Ebony!! The others were good too, but they only change after they die and reincarnate or are aware of the future evens so they could brace for it beforhand. Other than Ebony, I also liked The Pet of The Villainess, The Emperor and the Female Knight and Under the Oak Tree. I guess there were more but I forgot their names atm.

Thanks for reading this long ass comment!
