I guess people feel annoy toward Sora because he basically confess his feeling to fl right in front of her boyfriend. Which is a shitty move when the girl is already in an relationship. He doesn't even wait for fl opinion on his confession. Sora fighting ability for fl would had been admirable and fair game if he had appear early within the manga when the ml and fl had not established their relationship. Him declaring the computation make him look like an thrid party that isn't need. I guess reader don't like him much because he treat fl like an winning object that had no opinion of her own.
While everyone is saying that they dislike the arc because Sora is annoying, I actually particularly like this arc. Not because I like Uka more with Sora but because this is a good way for Kai and Uka to realise how their relationship is. I feel as though Kai needs to experience the feeling of having someone he loves possibly taken from him before he can fully understand Uka's worth. I'm not saying he didn't realise before this but this is always a good thing to have.
I also like Sora and his fighting ability. Because unlike normal stories, Sora wants a fair match. And though he knows he probably doesn't stand a chance, he at least is trying. I would love Sora even more if he accepts defeat. Because he knows he tried and he still got rejected. He wouldn't feel regret in the future because he at least tried. Besides, Kai approves of this match. Kai also wants to show his fighting ability. He wants to show what he's willing to do for Uka.
So I don't have much of a problem with this arc.
