thats because it is in fact...based on a novel lol. (i was thinking that too when i started reading it and then came here and saw comments that its based on a novel. dont think the novel is translated or anything tho.

It feels like I'm reading a novel or something. The art is amazing and the story is so tragically beautiful and realistic. It's almost as if the author have worked in the porn industry before. From the details of making porn behind the scenes to the social stigmas sex workers face in their daily lives. It's stuff like this that makes me think that korean manhwas are far more superior than japanese mangas sometimes.
